Cancelled due to Severe weather warning
*A red warning has been issued by the Met Office for Central Scotland due to Storm Eowyn, from 10am to 5pm, on Friday 24 January. Gale to storm force winds will bring gusts of up to 100mph. Additional yellow warnings for snow and wind have also been issued. As a result, all four Scottish campuses (Paisley, Lanarkshire, Ayr and Dumfries), including all facilities, will be closed. You should, therefore, not travel to campus.
Campus tours
If your programme has booked a tour, you will be shown around campus by an experienced Student Buddy following your induction. This is a great chance to ask any questions you may have directly to a student who has been where you are!
Blue Monday
Get ready for Blue Monday on Monday 20th January! Join us at Paisley Campus from 12noon to 2pm in The Hub for an engaging series of interactive stalls that cover exciting health and wellbeing topics, packed with games and challenges. Don't miss the chance to speak with our wellbeing team about the Healthy Living Campaign, and the library team about their inspiring "Reading for Wellbeing" books. Discover valuable insights from our sustainability and travel team about their initiatives like "Think, Move, Breathe" and "Not Far? Leave the Car."
You can also join the fun with our Race Your Mate Challenge! Experience some friendly competition on stationary bikes provided by the gym team. Plus, take advantage of free blood pressure checks. This is an event you won't want to miss—come and boost your well-being with us!
Vaccinations
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde will have a team of Vaccinators available to students at University of the West of Scotland, Paisley campus on Wednesday 22nd January, to offer students who have not previously been vaccinated against Measles, Mumps and Rubella, Meningitis ACWY and HPV to receive their vaccination. It is really important to protect yourself and your fellow students. Infectious diseases such as Measles, Mumps and Rubella and Meningitis can spread easily and can cause serious illness - so please protect yourself and others.
