About
UWS Badminton is a fantastic way to get involved in either competitive or recreational sessions, with the opportunity available to compete in the BUCS leagues.
The badminton team have a historic standing as one of the most successful teams, but are now on the lookout for their next shining star.
Many of our current competitive squad joined as beginners, so the team is open to all whether you want to compete or just come along to keep fit and meet new people.

Competitions
Our Badminton club compete across the BUCS and SSS mixed and individual championships.
At the weekend, the team are facing off in the BUCS Scottish Badminton leagues, playing a mix of singles, doubles and mixed doubles matches each game week. Throughout the year, members will also compete in the BUCS and SSS Badminton Championships.
The recent SSS Championships saw Toni Woods bring home the Scottish Universities Women's Singles title.

How to join
Sign up for Badminton and head down to your first training session. All team members will be required to purchase a Team UWS membership that you can buy from the Online Store.
