About
Get involved with the Team UWS Basketball team.
Our Men's 1 squad train twice a week, in addition to video and gym based sessions with a number of UWS Sport Scholars. Training is open to successful trialists only or those invited from development sessions.
The Women's team is open to all UWS students, regardless of experience, and are always on the look out for new players.
The Men's 2s squad welcome all students from across UWS, whether you are new to Basketball or wanting to develop to our performance team, we'll see you on the court.

Men 1
Tuesdays and Thursdays: 7 to 9pm
Women
Tuesday, 5 to 7pm, Emirates Arena
Men 2
Tuesday, 7 to 9pm, Emirates Arena
Competitions
Team UWS Basketball competes across the BUCS (British University and College Sport) and SSS (Scottish Student Sport) competition spectrum.
Our Men's 1st team compete in Scotland's top BUCS division, Tier 1 as well as the BUCS National Trophy and the SSS National Championships.
Our Women's squad compete in BUCS Tier 3 as well as the BUCS Scottish Conference Cup and the SSS National Championships.
Our Men's 2nd team compete in BUCS Tier 4 and the BUCS Scottish Conference Cup.
Through our community partners, Renfrew Rocks, Team UWS Basketball players also have the opportunity to access additional basketball through local and National leagues. Our Men's 1s squad currently compete in Scotland's top flight, SBC Division 1 whilst our Men 2 also compete in the SLBA Division 2.
HOW TO JOIN
Sign up for Basketball and head down to your first training session. All team members will be required to purchase a Team UWS membership that you can buy from our Online Store.
