Callum Russell has seen his career take off since undertaking the University’s BEng (Hons) Chemical Engineering.
After graduating Callum returned to UWS to undertake a Masters degree before progressing onto a PhD in Chemical Engineering at the University.
Now in his second year of his PhD at UWS, Callum recently secured the post of Lecturer at the University.
Callum said: “When considering which university I wanted to join, many of my friends and family recommended UWS based on their own personal experiences. After seeing the opportunities that were available, and attending the open days, I knew that this was the place I wanted to study at. The staff, the environment, and the modern approach to learning made it an easy choice for me and is undoubtedly the best decision I ever made!
“A real highlight of studying at UWS is without question the staff. The standard of teaching is second to none at UWS. Nothing is too much for the staff - the help and support you receive really allows you to overcome any challenge you may face. I can’t believe that I have now become a member of the academic staff – hopefully I will be able to add to the excellent teaching on offer.”
Callum added: “To anyone thinking about studying at UWS, I would say, go for it, no question about it. Before starting university, I was filled with anxiety, however the warm welcome you receive puts you right at ease.
