Inspiring students into new careers at UWS

During her time at UWS, Natalie applied for a once-in-a-lifetime internship opportunity with big names across various industries and she was supported by our Careers Team throughout the whole process. “The team helped me to put down on paper all the things I had been involved in that made me uniquely suitable for the opportunity. I would never have been able to do this myself, but with the guidance and structure provided by the team, it was a very rewarding exercise.”

You’ll be glad to read that Natalie was successful in landing an amazing opportunity working in the Compensations and Benefits Analysis team in DHL Singapore.

And those skills she learned with UWS still apply to Natalie’s career today. “When preparing an application, or for an interview, I use the skills I learned during my internship application process. It always helps me to feel much more in control.”

What would Natalie say to anyone looking for help and support with their career? “The experiences with the UWS Careers Team have highlighted to me how important it is to use these facilities during and beyond university. To this day, I still engage with the Careers Coaching Team at Barclays who provide support in CV building, careers planning and all topics around personal development.”
