When it came to deciding where to study her Masters course UWS was an easy choice for international student, Leonie Sijtsma.
Leonie, 23, who is from the Netherlands, enjoyed studying in the UK as part of her undergraduate degree so much that she was keen to return for her Masters degree.
She said: “When the time came to look for a Masters I started searching for universities in the UK. I wanted to do a Masters that expanded on my previous studies in computer science, specifically in web technologies. This is not usually a main subject in a Masters degree but at the UWS it is. After a bit of research, I realised that UWS and its MSc Mobile Web Development was the perfect choice for me.
“At UWS they put students first and understand that the university experience is a key part of your time as a student. They also understand that when you start studying you might need help with financing, mental health, stress and study problems and have time and resources to help with that.”
Leonie, who gradautes later this year, added: “The advice I would give anyone thinking about studying at UWS is to try and make the most out of your time as a student as it doesn’t last long. What you learn as a person while studying is invaluable and can help you tackle the challenges of life.”
The University’s MSc Mobile Web Development is fully accredited by the British Computer Society and is designed to meet the demands of the increasing use of mobile devices to provide applications and services to users and enterprises. Find out more about MSc Mobile Web Development.
