Our Open Days and information sessions are a good way to see what it’s like to study at UWS, and explore the options available if you’re considering student accommodation.
We hold Open Days and information sessions throughout the year. They're aimed at students considering an undergraduate, postgraduate or postgraduate research degree at UWS.
Open Days are a great way to:
- Hear from staff and students about life and study at UWS
- Get help with your application
- Learn more about funding and financial support
- See our facilities for yourself – from lecture theatres and labs to our student accommodation, sport facilities and award-winning students' union
- Find out more about work placements, learning a language or study abroad opportunities

Join us at our undergraduate Subject Showcase events taking place in November 2025.
These events give you the perfect opportunity to get in-person experience of your subject and course of choice before the UCAS application deadline on 14 January 2026. We’ll be offering tours, interactive activities and much more to let you see what studying at UWS is really like.

Book your half hour slot between 3-5.30pm to chat to the team and discover everything you need to know about our comprehensive 1-year teaching qualification. We’re also offering a unique opportunity to interview for August 2025 entry on the day!

Campus Visits
We'd love to meet you at one of our Campus Visits. This is a great opportunity to find out more about life at UWS and take a tour to see for yourself our campuses in Ayr, Lanarkshire and Paisley. Whether you’re starting this September or, thinking of applying later, we’d love to see you!
