Our specialist MBA with Enterprise, based at UWS Lanarkshire Campus, will develop your personal capabilities, skills and knowledge to become a more creative and innovative leader.
The increase in competitive marketplaces has led to more focus on innovation and in tandem idea creation. Enterprise is a fast-growing element of the modern business environment. Whether it is entrepreneurs taking risks to start new organisations, or intrapreneurs working to develop new approaches inside organisations, there is no doubt that it is vital that the leaders of tomorrow can understand and manage this area.
This pathway will help students learn through idea creation and the use of innovation, to solve problems and develop market opportunities for organisations using highly interactive approaches. Case studies, guest speakers and workshops will develop your knowledge and practical skills.
Our MBA emphasises its pedagogical approach to vicarious learning where you will identify contemporary business practices and relate these back to theories and concepts.
The UWS MBA has been running since 2007. This is a successful and long-running MBA degree that has been re-validated in 2023 so that it remains a current, vibrant and attractive to aspiring managers and business leaders.
Upon graduation students may wish to continue their study through a Doctor of Business Administration, a PhD and/or Continuous Professional Development.
This MBA course will help progress your career. The ideas, skills and experience that you’ll gain from this course will help you to gain access to some of the most sought-after jobs in the industry.
Graduates of this MBA have the potential to be offered some of the best employment opportunities, whether that is with SMEs or roles within international conglomerates such as Siemens, BAE Systems, the Virgin Group, Facebook, and Apple. MBA graduates are highly motivated and progress quickly in their roles, gaining promotions and taking on more responsibility that leads to greater salaries and reward packages.
The type of role that MBA graduates may be suited to depends on their prior experience and aptitude. Graduates with less experience might apply for first line manager positions like Office Manager or Assistant Manager, through to middle management positions such as department head or director. Those with more significant work experience may look for executive, or C-suite positions such as Chief Operations Officer (COO) or Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
People recognise the MBA as a credible course that gives you a very good understanding of business. I mentioned to a contact that I had completed the MBA and he immediately asked me to send him my CV. Through that connection I was able to secure my current job.
