Find your place at UWS
Clearing will re-open for September 2025 entry on Saturday 5th July 2025.
During Clearing, a range of UWS undergraduate courses will be available for you to start your studies this September. Whether you’re keeping your options open, have not met the conditions of your offer, or if you've changed your mind, our Clearing team are here to help you explore your choices.

Apply through Clearing
You can apply through Clearing if:
- you’re applying for the first time for 2025 entry after 30 June
- you are not holding any offers for 2025
- you have not met the conditions of your offers and are looking at other options
- you’ve declined your firm place at another institution using the ‘decline my place’ button in your application
If you're using Clearing to apply to University for the first time, you’ll need to register with UCAS and submit an application.
What you'll need for Clearing
We recommend preparing a list of the courses and subject areas that you’re interested in.
Make sure you’ve got a notepad and pen or a laptop for keeping track of any notes or questions you may have.
The documents you’ll need for Clearing are:
- your UCAS ID
- your personal Clearing number
- your exam results
Where are you on your clearing journey?
If UWS is your firm choice
Keep up to date with your undergraduate application via the UCAS Hub. It will be updated when a decision has been made on your application.
If UWS is your insurance choice
- Contact us on 0800 027 1000 to confirm we have a place for you
- Log in to UCAS Hub and select decline my place
- Check the UCAS Hub for an update on your application status
- Once unconditional at UWS, you'll receive joining instructions by email
What to do if you did not get the results you needed
First, do not panic. There are options available.
- Check the UCAS Hub to see if the decision status has changed to unconditional. If it has, you will receive joining instructions via email
- If the decision status is still conditional, please contact us on 0800 027 1000. Our admissions team will be working through applications as quickly as possible. Please check the UCAS Hub for updates
- If your application is unsuccessful as a result of not achieving the grades, you can explore Clearing options our website or via UCAS. There are also alternative routes into university, including HN study at college. Our Student Recruitment Team will be able offer advice on college articulation routes into UWS.
