Nicole found her place at UWS - find yours!
Nicole is a graduate of our BSc (Hons) Chemistry programme and is currently Team UWS Sports President.
It doesn’t matter what course you’re involved in at UWS, anybody can take part in sport. You also meet people outside your course, which is great. And it’s nice to see friendly faces around the corridors.
Joining UWS was the best decision I ever made – from having the best support possible from the lecturers, to the community feel here; I’ve made best friends for life and I’m so glad I chose UWS!”

UWS RESEARCH AND INDUSTRIAL COLLABORATION
Many of our programmes offer industry-based projects and paid work placements in the UK and abroad. We also offer placements within the University’s own research groups to give you first-hand experience of academic research. Our research is clustered in inter-national collaborations and industry partnerships.
Our Industrial Advisory Board provides input from industry professionals to help shape our teaching and to ensure we provide you with the cutting-edge experience that sets you apart from the competition.
Many of our programmes are accredited by professional bodies, including the Institute of Physics, the Royal Society of Chemistry and the Chartered Institute of Forensic Sciences.

UWS Facilities for Physical Sciences
Well-equipped labs provide opportunities for placements and research projects. Investment in facilities includes the University’s Institute of Thin Films, Sensors and Imaging, which houses forward-thinking academic and industry research.
How else can we support?
Our friendly team are here to support you with any questions you might need answered. We also have a number of students who can give first-hand experience of what it is like to study at UWS.
