UWS offer an exciting range of creative industry programmes delivered at the University’s award- winning Ayr Campus and other world-class venues.

Our academic staff have wide-ranging experience of professional practice across screen, broadcast, journalism, music performance and the visual arts. While our links with industry ensure our students enjoy hands-on experience in their chosen field.

The UCAS equal consideration deadline may have passed, but we're still accepting applications to our courses starting this September.
If you’ve yet to apply for 2025 entry, you can do this now through UCAS. You can also apply through UCAS if you applied already but did not use all five choices, and have yet to accept or decline any offers.
If you’ve already used your five choices, but aren’t holding any offers, you can add one extra choice using UCAS Extra. This service is open now until Friday 4th July.

Our hands-on programmes reflect current industry best standards, and the Creative Media Academy works in partnership with Film City Glasgow, Screen Scotland and the BBC amongst others to deliver opportunities for our students.
This real-life experience provides the perfect springboards to launch your career in the dynamic media and creative industries. National broadcasters, such as the BBC, and a range of national and international media companies have employed UWS graduates and our students regularly win BAFTA, RTS and music industry awards.

UWS ARTS & MEDIA SHOWCASE 2024
In May 2024, we celebrated the creative endeavours of UWS students at our annual showcase and awards event on our beautiful Ayr campus.
The event boasted film screenings, broadcast production work, live music performances, art exhibition displays, theatre productions, songwriters’ circle and news-room journalism material. Elements of the event were also broadcast via UWS Radio.
You can now view the digital showcase to see the types of opportunities available to our students as part of their degrees with UWS.
