Where to find great coffee in Paisley
Salt and Pepper. Barbie and Ken. Lennon and McCartney. Pineapple and Pizza. Some of the most iconic partnerships throughout history. There is one double act we’ve forgotten to mention: 'students' and 'coffee'.
That’s right. It’s a well-known fact that tired students are nothing without their morning caffeine fix. ‘You complete me’, as Jerry Maguire once famously said. A phrase you’ll often hear students whispering to their oat milk latte before a 9am lecture.
So, where to get a caffeine fix in Paisley? We’ve got you covered. Here’s our pick of the best coffee shops when visiting our UWS Paisley Campus.
Nomads’
A stone’s throw from our Paisley Campus, Nomads’ is the perfect place to for a quiet breakfast, delicious lunch, or some coffee and cake. Heck, have not have all four. We won’t judge, not when the offering is this good. The vibes at Nomads’ are so chilled, you may never want to leave. But, serious voice, please do leave eventually and attend your lectures, ahem.
Roasters
Right on the doorstep of our Paisley Campus, Roasters is a bustling café and a coffee connoisseur’s dream. With the friendliest staff, Roasters serve up the tastiest food. Seriously, check out their Instagram feed - we defy you not to drool. Yes Sir, Roasters can boogie. Boogie woogie.
Kettle Black
Oh-so-pretty. And that’s just the entrance door décor. Wait until you get inside and try Kettle Black’s coffee and seriously tasty cakes. Their Millionaire Shortcake should be an exhibit in Paisley Museum. We said what we said. Their soups are also *chef’s kiss. Kettle Black is the perfect place to sit down, sip a Mocha and watch the world (okay, Paisley) go by. Check out Kettle Black's Facebook.
Café 77
Café 77 is brunch perfection. Their Brioche Buns are a thing of beauty. And don’t get us started on their Mattcha Lattes. Oh. My. Days. What won us over, however, is their Doggieccinos. That’s right, Café 77 welcome four-legged canine friends with open arms. They even feed them whipped cream and d-biscuits. I mean, why are you still reading? Strap your pooch on a leash and sprint down towards Barshaw Park immediately.
Blend Café
Blend is back in town, oh yeah. After a brief hiatus, Blend Café returned to Paisley Arts Centre last year. And we’re SO happy they’re back. Paisley’s first independent coffee lounge, Blend Café is all about community, connection and coffee. Partnering with The Gatehouse Coffee Roasters, their mission is to bring you the best coffee in Paisley. Guys, we’d say mission complete. Go visit. Thank us later.
